To ensure beautiful, long-lasting results, please follow our care guidelines.

Before Your Service

  • Arrive with Clean Lashes: Come to your appointment with eyes completely free of makeup. Clean lashes help the extensions bond properly.

  • Be on Time: Please arrive 10 minutes early to find parking, use the restroom, or wash your lashes if needed. Arriving late may shorten your service time.

  • Keep Lashes Natural: Do not curl your lashes on the day of your appointment.

  • Avoid Caffeine: Skip caffeinated drinks before you arrive to prevent eyelid fluttering.

  • Remove Contacts: For your comfort, please remove contact lenses. We can provide solutions and cases if you forget.

During Your Service

We've designed our space and service to be a peaceful escape. For the duration of your service, your main job is simply to relax. Here’s how you can help us create the perfect lashes for you.

  • Embrace the "Lash Nap": Feel free to bring headphones to listen to music or a podcast.

  • Eyes Gently Closed: For your safety and for a flawless application, avoid blinking or opening your eyes until your service is complete.

  • Minimize Talking: Chatting can cause eyelids to flutter, so let's save our conversations for before and after the application.

  • Silence Your Phone: Please put your phone away and refrain from calls or texts to maintain a serene environment.

Caring for Your Mellowlashbar Extensions

First 24 Hours: The Golden Rule

  • Keep Lashes Dry: To allow the adhesive to fully cure, you must avoid all water, steam, and sweat for 24 hours.

Daily Care

  • Cleanse & Brush: Gently wash your lashes daily with an oil-free cleanser, then brush with your spoolie when dry.

  • Avoid:

    • Oil-based products near your eyes.

    • Mascara and mechanical lash curlers.

    • Rubbing, picking, or pulling your extensions.

    • Sleeping on your face (a silk pillowcase can help!).

Maintenance

  • Regular Refills are Essential: On average, you shed 2-5 natural lashes per day. To keep your lashes looking consistently full and beautiful, we recommend booking a refill appointment every 2 to 3 weeks. This allows us to replace the extensions that have shed or to long and keep your lashes healthy.

Caring for Your Glue-less Lash Lift

First 24 Hours: Let Them Set
While your lashes set into their new shape, you must strictly avoid:

  • Water & Steam: Keep lashes completely dry.

  • Eye Makeup: Do not apply any products.

  • Touching: Avoid rubbing or playing with your lashes.

  • Sleeping on Your Face: This can bend or kink the lift.

Long-Term Care

  • Brush Upwards Daily: Use your spoolie to keep lashes styled.

  • Be Gentle: Use oil-free products and avoid scrubbing the eye area.

  • Avoid Waterproof Makeup: The removal process is too harsh for a lift.

Understanding Your Lash Cycle & Booking Your Next Appointment
A lash lift does not wear off; it grows out. Your lashes have a natural shedding cycle of about 4-6 weeks. As your lifted lashes fall out, new, straight lashes will grow in their place. To maintain the lifted effect, we recommend scheduling your next appointment in 4-6 weeks, but no less than a month from your last service.

  • Q: What if an extension twists?

    • A: This is normal! Gently brush it back into place with your spoolie.

  • Q: Is temporary redness or itching normal?

    • A: Mild redness is common. However, contact us immediately if you experience persistent itching or swelling, as it may indicate a sensitivity.

  • Q: Can I wear other eye makeup?

    • A: Yes, as long as it's oil-free. Be gentle when removing.
